DrupalCon North America and DrupalCon Europe are special events for Platform.sh. It is where we reconnected with our longtime friends in the Drupal community and met new Drupalers from around the world.
We were looking forward to seeing our friends--old and new--less than a month from today in Minneapolis. But the COVID-19 crisis and ensuing requirements for social distancing mean we’ll be limited to connecting with the Drupal community from afar for now.
The Drupal Association and the DrupalCon team have been put in a tough financial position with the mandatory postponement of the conference. To show our support of the D.A. and the Drupal community during this time of economic turmoil, Platform.sh remains committed to our financial sponsorship of DrupalCon North America and DrupalCon Europe. We will also continue as Drupal Association sponsors.
In addition to our direct support of the Drupal Association and DrupalCon, Platform.sh wants to help those helping others. To that end, we’ve established a support program for organizations developing websites or apps to aid communities, first responders, public health initiatives, or educational institutions dealing with the changes wrought by COVID-19. Platform.sh is giving organizations working on COVID-19-related projects a free project for at least 90 days. For more details or to contact us about the program, check out our COVID-19 response page.
While there is still much uncertainty ahead of us, by working together and supporting each other we can get through almost anything. That spirit of cooperation has been the ethos of the Drupal community from the very beginning. We’re proud to have been a part of and to continue to support the Drupal Association, the Drupal community, and the DrupalCon team.
